Half pays people.
The rest runs two machines.

Six budget lines, grouped by the loop they feed: the team, the villa laboratory, and the agent engine (servers plus LLM tokens), with a 10 percent contingency on the operating lines. Grouping is simple addition of the plan's lines. Open any line for where its number comes from.

  2. Lab capitalLab CHF 546,843 19.3%

    [Where the number comes from]

    CHF 546,843 = USD 601,527 at 1 CHF = 1.10 USD est.

Laboratory capital: the LAB-BOM grand total, USD 601,527 (estimate): equipment USD 546,843 (estimate) plus the 10 percent equipment contingency of USD 54,684 (estimate), which is CHF 546,843 (estimate) at the planning rate. Phased across M1 to M6 following the BOM lead-time tiers: 25 percent in M1, 20 percent in M2, 20 percent in M3, 15 percent in M4, 10 percent in M5, 10 percent in M6 (estimate).

Why the CHF figure matches the bill of materials' USD equipment subtotal: the grand total is equipment plus a 10 percent contingency, and the planning rate is 1.10, so USD equipment × 1.10 ÷ 1.10 = CHF equipment.

Consumables: from the materials first-campaign view: powders and carriers about USD 6,000 to 10,000, gases and plumbing about USD 2,000 to 4,000 (estimate), plus recurring isotope packs, CR-39 foils, bubble-detector refills, etchants and replacement powders of about USD 2,000 per month in run months (estimate). The materials file's excitation-electronics band (USD 20,000 to 35,000) and thermal-and-vessels band (USD 8,000 to 15,000) overlap LAB-BOM sections E and A and are therefore not added twice.

[LLM tokens for the agents]

1,920 slot-months × CHF 200 = CHF 384,000 est.

Planning band CHF 100 to 350 per slot-month est.: CHF 192,000 to CHF 672,000 over the year (arithmetic on the plan's figures).

[06.5 · Investor checkpoints]

Twelve dated checkpoints.
Each one measurable.

Each milestone is a dated statement of what exists or what an instrument reads. The ask is one number, the 12-month plan total of CHF 2,839,023 est.; beside each checkpoint is how much of it the plan has drawn by then.

[06.6 · Commercial path]

Filings, products,
partners.

The program builds an IP position from month 6, products that do not depend on the device result, and the partner network to validate and scale whatever it measures. Price bands are planning estimates.

[Intellectual property]

Two filings and a guarded formulation estate.

PLAN-12-MONTH §9.1

Filing 1, M6 to M7

provisional patent application on the drive scheme: force-chain excitation of metal hydride suspensions by combined ultrasound and pulsed discharge, including the duty-cycle and resonance-tracking control loop and the programmable perturbation-cycle program. Cost about CHF 15,000 to 25,000 with counsel (estimate).

Filing 2, M11

patent application on cell geometries: the dry-bed powder cartridge with clamp-mounted piezo stack and headspace sampling, and the suspension cell with sonotrode dip tube integrated into the calorimeter envelope; Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) route within 12 months of the provisional. Cost about CHF 15,000 to 25,000 (estimate).

Trade secrets ongoing

the suspension formulations stay internal and unpublished: shear-thickening base recipes, hydride and piezoelectric volume fractions, particle size ratios, surface coatings, poling programs and the re-oxidation refresh recipes. Lab-notebook discipline, need-to-know access and lot records make the secrets defensible; employees assign inventions to Vantasner AG.

Freedom to operate ongoing

the program monitors third-party filings in ultrasonic processing and hydride storage; the research phase infringes nothing by relying on standard commercial instruments and open-source simulation codes.

[Product forms]

Five ways the work earns.

Two are hardware the lab builds anyway; the measurement service can start after M6, once commissioning targets are met.

PLAN-12-MONTH §9.3
  1. 01

    Research calorimeter module

CHF 60k to 120k per unit est.

the Gen 1-class package (Seebeck envelope, flow calorimeter, Joule calibration kit, DAQ, run-card software) sold to laboratories that need trustworthy small-sample heat balance. Price band about CHF 60,000 to 120,000 per unit (estimate); natural first customers are the universities and national labs in section 9.2.

  2. 02

    Drive module

CHF 20k to 50k per unit est.

the perturbation-capable ultrasonic plus pulsed-discharge driver with logged run cards, sold or licensed to ultrasonic-processing and materials customers. Price band about CHF 20,000 to 50,000 per unit (estimate).

  3. 03

    Licensing

the drive-scheme and cell-geometry filings licensed to energy and industrial-ultrasonics companies once the Gen 3 campaign delivers its measured dataset.

  4. 04

    Co-development

formulation and scale-up partnerships with the ultrasonic OEMs and materials vendors, trading our suspension recipes and lot discipline against their manufacturing capacity.

  5. 05

    Measurement services

fee-for-service heat-balance and nuclear-products screening for third-party materials on the villa rig, starting after M6 once commissioning targets are met.

[Validation]

The measurement chain the market will demand.

Pitch outline §11
  1. 01Isoperibolic cellsSeebeck envelope, Joule-calibrated weekly
  2. 02Independent-tester flow calorimetryCoriolis flow calorimeter as second instrument
  3. 03Total wall-plug accountingInput and output integrated from power-on to cool-down, wired in M11

[from bench to wall plug]

the record shows the measurement chain the market will demand, from isoperibolic cells to independent-tester flow calorimetry to total wall-plug accounting (prior-art/03, Brillouin line 2014 to 2025); we build that chain into the device from day one.

[the replication playbook]

the six-organization collaborative campaign with identical samples split across laboratories (prior-art/04) is our template for third-party validation of any positive result.

[the cost curve]

nickel and copper binary nano-composites operating near 350 C on hydrogen put the cheap end of the composition space at commodity prices (prior-art/04, estimate), with palladium-deuterium as the mobility-matched reference.

[Partners]

Who we buy from, build with and test against.

PLAN-12-MONTH §9.2

Isotope and gas suppliers

Cambridge Isotope Laboratories (deuterium packs, deuterated carriers), Linde (HiQ deuterium cylinders), Sigma-Aldrich (lecture bottles, heavy water). Confirmed in the materials supplier log of 2026-10-21.

Ultrasonic and drive OEMs

Hielscher Ultrasonics, Sonics and Materials, Branson (Emerson) for processors; Electronics and Innovation for amplifiers; Advanced Energy (Trek) for piezo drivers; Behlke for fast high-voltage switching. Co-development targets for industrial-scale horns and drive modules.

Materials vendors

American Elements, Thermo Scientific Chemicals (Alfa Aesar), Goodfellow, Strem Chemicals, Novamet, Blank Slate Innovation (reactive metal deuterides), APC International, Evonik (AEROSIL).

National laboratories and universities

  • Paul Scherrer Institut (Switzerland) for neutron reference fields and detector calibration.

  • the Tohoku University Clean Planet division and the Kobe University Technova line as the closest open experimental partners for sample exchange and method comparison.

  • SRI International as an independent calorimetric test house with a track record of independent reactor testing.

  • the academic groups behind the 2025 Nature and 2026 Nature Communications sub-keV screening papers as natural collaboration partners for cross-checking our nuclear-products channels.

Authorities

the local radiation protection authority (area registration from day one, per LAB-BUILD 8.3) and the licensed waste-disposal contractor for etch solutions and powder residues.

[06.7 · Either way]

Two possible results.
Both are ground we own.

40 years of published papers and results (1986 to 2026) establish every component the program builds on; the combination itself is untested in the public record. Either outcome is new knowledge Vantasner owns.

[Result A]

A working device.

A Gen 3 prototype campaign of at least 300 hours target with wall-plug heat balance against a matched control and pre-registered five-sigma thresholds, then third-party validation on the six-organization replication template.

Publishable · patentable

[Result B]

A carefully bounded negative.

The platform and diagnostics proven: two calibrated calorimeters, a five-channel diagnostics panel and a simulation fleet whose every parameter carries provenance, with every result published with its full uncertainty budget.

Publishable · patentable

Publishable, patentable ground either way.

Filing 1 in M6 to M7 on the drive scheme, filing 2 in M11 on the cell geometries, a guarded formulation estate, and a commissioned lab, diagnostics panel and agent fleet with its results database.

the hydride plus piezoelectric combination is untested in the public record (concept brief, searches of 2026-10-21); a working device, or a carefully bounded negative with the platform and diagnostics proven, is publishable, patentable ground either way.
